Description

Give Greer a shot.
Swap Jost w/ JP and let him play w/ MacK.
Play whichever goalie can be at least league average.
Play Toninato instead of Dries because Tonianto is actually a centre.
Rotate whoever is playing best out of Graves, Cole, Nemeth.
Austin Wagner is the fastest player in the NHL, 26% of his WHL goals were shorthanded because Regina would ice it and he would beat everyone to it and score. Get him. If you have to add to Nieto, do it.
Hope Rieder can stabilize and that by saving cap space Edmonton will basically give him to you for free.

Hope this keeps you in contention until Makar arrives after his season is done.
If Kamenev is healthy, swap him with Toninato.

I wouldnt give up Jost for a slightly better shot at the cup this year. AVS window is only just starting and will only get better. #Hughes

KHL goalie of the year and has played twice for the Avs. Just play whatever goalie can be at least league average. And I just think they have to try something at this point.

I agree that's why I'm not swapping him for a rental. Basically it's a Puljuervi - Jost swap. Neither have been good, change of scenery trade.

Jost was just injured and may be out for a while so i doubt any team would trade for him now

You're right that's definitely a factor. More of a hypothetical.

That Edmonton trade is the most lateral move you could possible make. Rieder is a depth player Colorado has tons of. They need more top 6 talent that can create two scoring lines. Pulju for Jost is a wash, and Talbot for Varlamov is also a wash.

I love Varlamov for Talbot. Gotta shake these guys up. A move like this is low risk.

That doesnt save the avs season, it puts a fork in it, you lose varly and gain a worse tender in Talbot, trade jost for puliarvi who is a bust boys let's all agree...
