Yeah hard pass... Pearson has term on his deal. He hasn’t fit thus far, but he can still get going. Don’t give up on him this quick. He’s a good player

nah i'd rather have ferland tbh. if ferland isn't scoring, he's hitting , fighting, ect. if pearson isn't scoring he's just invisible. plus opens more cap space to make one or two more moves

You’re adding a 1st and Simon (who could be a 40 point player)
Hard pass. Big overpay

doesn't have to be exactly that deal but yeah ferland is already a 20 goal 40 point player, and adds grit need to play the caps and other big west teams

I’m not opposed to adding ferland, it just has to be for the right price. I think teams may overpay for him

Since when does Adam McQuaid get you a 2nd?

He's a good depth guy but really?

He’s being overvalued. Good player but very injury prone and very inconsistent. Last season scored 19 in the first 40, then 2 in the last 40

Simon is the perfect depth guy. He can move up and down the lineup, is young, on a good contract and carries positive possession #s. Pearson has been at his best with the Penguins when he was playing with Malkin. I would like to see him moved back to Malkin's wing when Malkin returns. Maatta plus Jarry a 1st or any combination should land Ferland but I'd want the ability to speak to his agent to see if Ferland will commit to resigning before giving up assets.

The Pens don't need to trade for depth defense. They just traded depth defense for a 4th rd pick. Jj and Riikola can both play the right side and Ruhwedel and can be inserted as well.
