laugh laugh No they don't? Datsyuk is free to sign with any team on July 1st. Arizona terminated his contract so he could play in the KHL. They don't hold his rights after July 1st.

Last season Namestnikov scored 22 goals and had 48 points. Most of those points came when playing on TBL's top line, so he's proven he could put up points when playing with top end talent. This season he's playing more of a defensive role and even though not putting up points, Namestnikov is playing great!

If you are correct and two high draft picks are not offered in trade for Namestnikov, NYR has no problem holding on to him and resigning when contract up at the end of next season. Also Namestnikov can play all three forward positions and play great defense against the opponents top line.

If it would be all about points, you'd be right, but it's not. The lesser Boyle cost a 2nd...

Oh righty...poor point production, makes 4m, and lack lustre defensive metrics while getting railroaded with defensive starts. So there you go its not all about points, hes been bad in all zones this season

It's only been a little over half a season thus far. Most GM's are not as short sighted as you and certainly take more than half a season of stats into account when determining a players trade value.

actually thats the exact opposite at how GMs negotiate. What GM is going to say Hey he was good the year before so heres way more assets thats hes worth based on how he has played for the past 50 games.

Defensive metrics? Bad in all zones? Don't believe everything you read in the tabloids. Try instead watching hockey instead of using fantasy stats to create your own hockey dream world in fantasy land!

he has poor possession numbers and shot suppression numbers. despite being placed in a defesnive role of 60% D Zone starts. Thats not fantasy land thats just data. He isnt good in that role and isnt creating offense despite having fringe Top 6 Minutes out of that forward group.

Hes underwhelming, its just reality that he doesnt bring any impact on either side of the puck and is making 4m

No I dont think hes worth that but he has 13 goals on the season and he has that "playoff warrior" label attached to him. Namestnikov barely has over 13 points this season

i cant wait to see Ranger fans kicking and screaming when their players are moved for half of what they believe they are worth

Specifically which Rangers fans are you talking about? Because if your going to steriotype all Rangers fans into one specific catagory, I don't have time for your ignorance.

Relax!!! Eyeball test says he is good, gritty, smart, reliable and most GMs would love him. Blah blah blah with your ridiculous numbers lol. Try watching a NYR game instead of number crunching. Names is worth more than Boyle, early 2nd or late 2nd & late pick. Get over it already!

They can't trade for "Marc" Staal, he's got a no trade clause. If someone here suggested NYR should trade him to TOR, wouldn't it have made more sence to explain such a trade could not be made because of the NMC.

But instead of pointing out something that might have been unintentionally overlooked, you start start steriotyping all Rangers fans as one.
