If anisimov is gonna get traded the blackhawks will have to eat cap cause hes on a pretty rough contract

He really doesn't. A twenty goal scorer who can play all situations and all positions. For a team with cap space needing a reliable all situation player, Anisimov is the guy

4.5 for another 3 years isnt great for a 30-40 point guy. I like Anisimov just for about half his cap hit

Technically it's only two more years, and while it isn't the best contract out there, he's at 333 career points in 675 games. I'm not sure how many half point ppg FA's you think you're going to sign for 2.25M AAV, but it's probably not too many.

I don't think he's a great player by any stretch of the imagination, and he's not having a great season. It's not such a terrible contract that they'd have to eat half of it to trade him though.

Ive always been a fan of anisimovs game, like it a lot, good two-way game. But id think that any contender trying to go for him would not be able to take that entire contract. If hes 1 mill or more less, he'll be a lot more attractive of a piece
