The Avs wouldnt do it in a million years. They arent moving a top 5 pick for 3 Rentals, 1 being a locker room problem already in Duchene.

I agree. I'd deal Stone, Duchene, Dzingel, Ceci and Anderson before the deadline. Be crap all of next year (attendance is already horrible anyways) and tank for Lafreniere. They have some really good young pieces on the team right now like Chabot, Tkachuk, White, Blacers and Lajoie, with Batherson, Brown and Wolanin all NHL ready and Formenton, Norris, Gustavsson and Bernard-Docker probably ready to play in 2020. Add in the returns for the deadline deals from this year, and they can be very good in a few year. But that lotto pick this year would have been HUGE.

Why the name calling? I didn't trade your 1st rounder away. I'm extremely happy with a best case 18.5% chance at #1, worst case 100% chance at a top #4 in a good draft year. Wouldn't call that a gamble. You saying Colorado would have to add to that to get Stone is ridiculous. Ottawa has little leverage right now.
