If Panarin agrees to an extension at the time of the trade, I'd be ok with giving up that haul. If he's not willing to negotiate until the off-season then that's too much for what could be a rental.

That's fair value for Carter. I think the Kings would have to retain some salary for the Avs to go for it. $1.5 - 2M or so.

Good value for Hammer. Kings get the better, but older player. Arizona picks up a younger, similar-style player on a more reasonable contract. 2nd round pick covers the skill disparity.

Good trades all around.
