The only way Tampa can trade the 2019 1st Round Pick is by guaranteeing the 2020 1st Round Pick to the Rangers should they win the cup this year, and that's up to the Rangers to decide iirc.

They can do the trade this way. A conditionnal 2020 first round pick which will be a 2019 first round if Tampa does't win the cup this year.

According value, I would change J.T. Miller with Yanni Gourde. At this point Tampa will need size in the playoff.

I don't know if this is the best deal CBJ can get. I think Tolvanen and a 1st from Nashville may have more upside.
But I would have to take a good look long at this deal if those were the two deals on the table.

Tampa needs a RD. Hedman hasn't played RD much if at all in his entire career. I think Sergachev is in play, he's been in the doghouse for a while and they aren't fond of him. Panarin doesn't make a lot of sense for Tampa.
