Calgary passes pretty easily.

And I like Hudon’s game.

Montreal would rather get a mid round pick and take their chances.

Hudon for who?

I don't know much about this guy but since he's not Waiver eligible and seems to be playing great AHL hockey, i'm in

Adding the 5th is overkill IMO. Hudon is a good as producer as Mangia has been in the AHL and is only a little older.. Except Hudon has a 30 NHL point season under his belt while Mangia has waiver exemption.

Its a fair deal for what either team needs them for. Hudon has the experience and production while Mangia has the waiver exception. Both teams happy.

better for both teams is Hudon for Lazar .

MTL not only has been making huge efforts but so has Laval's gm in finding depth for their run in the AHL.
Lazar has been down there all year and playing well

we're moving Hudon out to try and ditch contracts otherwise we keep him and Lazar is a perfect candidate for us at both AHL and NHL level

Andrew Mangiapane doesnt take his training serious at the level we EXPECT from our small guys and neither did hudon which is why it took him 2 years longer then it should have to crack the roster at the expense of guys like Andrighetto and DLR who were called up instead and pissed away their Waiver exempt games which is why neither is with MTL currently . Andrew just create's the exact same problem for us but in english

i mean if i'm giving up Hudon and a 5th it sure as **** aint for a player who's got AHL regular written all over him .

Hudon maybe going through a Sophmore Slump but at the end of the day a bottom 6 PK specialist trumps a AHL top player which is why we waived Agostino for Weise .

Good thing because this trade would be Paul Byron all over again - Mangie is a small fast skilled forward stuck on our bottom line. Would kill me to see him go to the Habs and end up just like Byron.

Byron actually came in here and trained hard with Francis Boulion .
you didnt give us a finished product anymore then we gave ARZ one with Dubnyk.
meeting and training with Boulion changed Byrons career just like Sean Burke did for Dubnyk

the being said Boulion is still here training players to push their limits and maximize their strength as Boulion was known his entire career as a battler along the boards just like byron's come to be know for and that strength and stamina conditioning is a huge part . (boulion actually listed byron as his favorite student in an interview he did in 2015 or 2016 on habs tv i believe it was )
