I see where you are going, but CGY passes. They love Valimaki. I don't even know if they would include him in a Stone deal unless they were confident they could find a way to re-sign him.

Agree with the comment above, Valimaki is Calgary's most recent first round pick, I think you would be hard pressed to pry him from the Flames. If you take away the NJ picks and switch Kylington in for Valimaki I think the Flames definitely take that deal, but it's a lot less sexy for New Jersey. Concept here is good, the pieces need a bit of an adjustment! Nice work.

Why is Valimaki a throw in to that deal? Calgary would probably only consider him in a deal with elite talent coming back.

I don't the Devils would want to take on Neal's contract with how sketchy Schneider has looked this year. Doubt they would want roughly $12 million dollars tied up for the next 4 years on two players over 31, who may not return to form.

I could see the Devils taking on Michael Stone's contract to clear cap space for Tkachuk's new contract though.
