Tbh I might do that except if Fabbri can be switched out with Foley, Sanford, and a mid round pick. But he is a rental so this seems fair.

I think CBJ declines.
Schenn basically becomes a rental next season and they are in the exact same spot.
On top of it they are getting really good offers on Loaf.
The reported ask is a 1st, A+ prospect and a player.
I know Tampa Bay and Nashville are really close on their offers.
There is a lot of competition for him. I think if you put him on either one of those teams they will be really hard to stop for a cup.

I agree, I think unless you are a Tampa or Nashville, it's not going to be worth chasing him. Although when you look at Gourde and Point, you realize Tampa doesn't even need 1sts lol.

Not for a rental in Panarin lol. Plus you get even more chance of getting schenn to be traded with an extension included as well so you really aren't losing out on any profit here.

yeah, for a rental in Panarin.
Also, I'm not sure what team you are trying to talk about here. Everyone knows CBJ has a hard time attracting free agents. Not only because it's a small market team, but also because who wants to go deal with Torts. Look at their roster, they are a team that has had to build from within. Schenn will instantly be a rental when he hits columbus.

Yeah, but you can also trade him as well with an extension to a team like Boston who is quite interested in him same with carolina.

because you could get a lot out of Schenn from Boston so you get the best of both worlds. A good few prospects and picks from the Blues then you can get something like Donato and a 1st out of Boston. and plus the Blues won't offer any of the top 4 prospects so this is a take it or leave it deal for panarin. I wouldn't expect you to take it.

I don't put much weight on Donato, he's an AHL tweener. The problem here is you think the return on Schenn is equal to the return CBJ gets with Panarin from TB or Nashville. It's not.
They get a better offer with Panarin. A 3rd round pick and Fabbri doesn't make up the difference.
If you want to replace Fabbri with Kostin and maybe we can talk. But the offers I have seen here from other teams, which are probably pretty close to what is actually being offered, beat this current deal.

No, and I highly doubt Tampa goes after him already having issues with Point and Vasi in the next few years and Sergachev. Panarin won't be going there. Nashville probably won't they have some signings they need to make as well. Realistically neither of them go for him at the offer you want. You don't have any ground in this deal. You guys are the one with everything to lose if you don't settle for a little less on a RENTAL OFFER.

Dude come on. Look at the return you got on an under sized turn over machine in Shattenkirk and come at me with they won't get anything on Panarin.
I don't know where you get this. You are sounding like a homer where only your teams players have value and everyone else has to settle.
Panarin might be the best trade deadline acquisition I have seen in the past 10 years, if not ever in my life time. And you think a team like tampa doesn't take a run at him to win the cup? Or Nashville doesn't. That's not even logical.
A low first round pick and a good prospect is like nothing for him and what he brings to improve a teams chances.
You look at tampa, A team that needs to clear cap space. A 1st, Miller, a prospect. More than likely.

CBJ will have really good options. They aren't going to settle for scraps because you think they can do no better.

For a rental. a UFA UNrestricted FREE AGENT. Half a Season 30 games. You are quite dumb.

Also the players offered aren't scraps if Schenn is scraps that means Wennberg, Dubois, Atkinson are all scraps.

Like I said, look what you got for Shattenkirk who was a rental UFA, who signed with NY the season after playing in washington.
A 1st, conditional 2nd and Zachary Sanford.

Lets not pretend on the value difference between Shattenkirk and Panarin.
Panarin is a top 20 player in this game. Shattenkirk was never even close to that.
He's going to bring in a large return.
You sound ignorant hoping you will get him for scraps. Hell I'm not even a CBJ fan and I know that.
Here is what I do know.
They cleared a roster spot with the Penguins yesterday.
Which tells me in moving Loaf and Bob, they are probably looking at getting 2-3 pieces back + replacements.
Otherwise there is no need to clear that space.
So what ever the return they are working on, it's going to be better than you apparently think.

admittedly scraps is probably the wrong word, but Schenn is having an off year so you are selling low and wanting high. Furthermore, the point is, they will get a better return so the return looks low comparatively.

So you are saying a first sanford and copley is better for Shattenkirk than schenn Sanford Stevens 3rd and a 4th. If so I rest my case you are really stupid.

Even with the last statement Fabbri a 3rd and Schenn is better than a 1st Sanford and Copley.

I never said that at all. I don't know where you get that from. Reading comprehension please.

I said the other offers that are being floated for him in places like Nashville and TB are better. I have been rather clear about that.
My god, you are the one who looks really stupid. This is like 5th grade reading level and you are failing at it.

Shattenkirk look what he got is what you said and you were saying look at what he got well this is for Panarin as a rental it's a better offer so no reason to pull up that deal.

OMG I don't believe I have to break this down.

Panarin > Shattenkirk.
Shattenkirk got a 1st, conditional 2nd, and sanford.

You offered Schenn, Fabbri, and a 3rd. Which really breaks down to Schenn. Who is having a down year. Because the 3rd don't mean jack and Fabbri is looking like a bust.

Now you want to tell me how that is better than a 1st, Tolvanen and possibly another addition. Even just the 1st and Tolvanen is a better return.

Now if you look at what Shattenkirk got, and you want to tell me Panarin isn't worth a 1st and Tolvanen , then we are frankly done talking because you are either HIGH as a Fing kite, or don't watch hockey.

Fabbri has been fine. He had an injury, but he has been fine. Schenn has had a lot better production since he has moved up to the top line where he has teammates who actually play.

Schenn play doesn't even matter. I told you earlier, he's just another piece that would be a rental and a headache. Why go through that crap twice. They can't resign people. The whole damn team is built from the draft. Everyone else is there from a trade. People's contracts end and they jet.
Just like Bob and Loaf.
They won't get near the kind of return from Schenn as they will from Loaf. And it's not worth it to even bother. They get Tolvanen who is almost ready to play at the NHL level and and a 1st. You can't match that. Not on this trade, or an additional one for Schenn.
CBJ doesn't need pieces and parts. They need high end. That's why Tolvanen makes sense. He's an impact winger in the making. He is at least a hope of replacing what they are losing.

I mean whatever you say we will sign him in offseason instead. We aren't giving any of our 3 top 100 prospects in Kyrou, Kostin, or Bokk for him, and Fabbri is going to stay. You can deal with not having him this offseason instead. smile

that bitter ass reply just shows how mad you are tears of joy

You got to give to get in this league.
And teams take the best offer that works for them.

Someone will pay high for a rental every year. That's how it works.
Besides, columbus is a playoff team, so even if they keep him you never know. But he's most likely being traded. They just ain't getting fleeced because you think it works best that way for the Blues.

PS, Kyrou isn't a top 100 prospect, he's looking like a bust. If he plays next year like he did this year you will be lucky to get a 3rd round pick for him. That 40.9% 5v5 corsi is pathetic. Please don't give me the myth about it being due to the lines either. He's been on 2nd and 3rd lines. Sent back down twice. It's a big jump from AHL to NHL. He hasn't come close to showing he's making it. It stays that way next year and hell either be traded or labeled an AHL. There too many other young players looking for those rare roster spots. Kostin will be more than happy to take it.

I'm not mad. I just am not interested in overpaying for a guy who isn't going to re-sign with you at the end of the year. This is another Erik Karlsson type trade. I wouldn't offer any of the top 4 forwards in Kostin, Bokk, Kyrou, Thomas it's not worth it for a F'king rental you can screw yourself over if you want You have no clue what Rental Market it is that's fine we will just go after Panarin at the end of the season when he is a Free agent, and we can convince him since Vladdy Senko is here. It's fine. I am not at all mad. I just know that someone here is trying to pull something out of his ass that he won't be able to pull from any team.
