I'd rather just skip the Van trade. I have no interest in getting the other Granlund. Sokolov is a nice lottery ticket to have in the AHL. If he hits it'll be a big hit, if he misses then he helps the AHL team be better.

Fehr needs to find his game again before he'll have any value. The Nate Thompson trade is probably about the same Fehr will get. Moving up 15ish spots in the 4th/5th round doesn't interest me and I'd just keep the player we have.

Not the prospects I'd pick from Jets and Bos, but to each their own.

I agree. Sokolov also happens to be a former teammate of Kaprizov's, for what it's worth. No idea whether they are friends or not, though. I would be interested in reuniting the brothers the other way around, though (where we trade our Granny to Vancouver for roster players/prospects).

@TanSor I was looking at 2019 draft and Saw Bobby Brink he’s Minnesota Native and he has pretty good stats he’s a Right Handed Right Winger I know we need centers but he’s expected to be drafted in late 1st round here’s his stats and info https://www.eliteprospects.com/player/496724/bobby-brink

He is on my radar. If we go after a winger I'd rather try and get a snipe-show of a player in Caufield, even if he is small. Look at DeBrincat to see what I mean, similar players (extremely talented offensive wingers that are tiny for NHL standards). If we have the luxury of multiple 1sts and 2nds then I'd be fine going after him.

I watched Brink closely in the MN State High School Hockey Tournament last year and he was BY FAR the best player in the tournament as a sophomore! He's not very big either, and I'm not sure if he has breakaway speed, but he has everything else in his tool box! He's tenacious, crafty, sees the ice incredibly well, phenomenal hands, and can shoot the puck with the best of him. I keep hoping my beloved U of M Gophers can flip him from going to the U of Denver... He's a very special player...at least at the High School and USHL levels.
