not even close.

It would start with Eichel Dahlin and a 1st, but would need to include prospects like Middlestadt OR Buffalo also taking the Lucic contract as well ( Edmonton would likely retain 15-20% of his salary )

Honestly, if I was BUF's GM, I wouldn't do it. As good as Mcdavid is, he's one player and can't carry a whole team on his shoulder (EDM season as proof). Not worth giving away Eichel, Dahlin and 2 most likely high picks from BUF (Since they're not going to make the playoffs) for him.

Be patient, draft, rebuild, win.

Thats a reasonable trade! May have to take a cap dump back to fit under the cap.
