Burakovsky has been playing really well of late. I like Simmonds as a player, but I don't think giving up Gersich and Burakovsky is something we'd really want to do. Our forward prospects are really bare right now, and Gersich is probably our best forward prospect.

I read that Gersich was WSH's 15th ranked prospect. I'm not sold that Gersich would be the player involved in a deal, just a prospect in that range based on ranking. I think Simmonds value is a little underestimated due to the fact that he's on the 3rd line right now....but his 5 on 5 play has improved....he's no longer just a PP threat.

No interest in Simmonds here. Wouldn't get any time on the PP and can't PK. Would basically just be used for 11 minutes of 5v5 a game in WSH. Not a good fit here.

Not arguing the fit but who told you he can't PK? He doesn't get used there often because he is on the first power play unit. When he is given a shot on the PK in the past he has been pretty good.
