Considering that the current acting GM of the Oilers is Wayne Gretzky's brother, I think he would understand the blow that trading a generational player like McDavid would do to the city of Edmonton and the severe backlash he would receive as a result. Pocklington still gets death threats for trading Wayne Gretzky and that was over 30 years ago.

If Edmonton trades McDavid, they should just shut down the franchise.

Dude you don't even know how to make trades, Add both Kotkaniemi and Poehling to the deal as well. And maybe the Oilers might bite.
