Description

Not shure about the Gusev-situation, but from what I have understood. If he signs this summer, he'll be on some sort of rookie-contract for 1 year and after that he's UFA. So if he impresses next year in the NHL, he'll might look at som big bucks in the summer of 2020.

I would love to bring Strålman to the Vegas family and playing alongside Brännström. This pair might even be the 2nd pair by the end of the season.

The Karlsson-contract is pretty hard to figure out...Either way there's still one mil left in the bank.

neither Nosek or Subban has warrnt any larger sums on their RFAs statuses.

If McPhee can ever get Gusev over, that would be a major offensive boost. Leading the KHL in points currently. But after what happened with Shipachyov in Vegas, he might take offense to that and not come over. Plus Russians always are hesitant when it comes to money, since they are getting more on their contracts overseas, then they come over to NA and they have to sign only an ELC.

I belive the Shipachyoc story is quite blown out of proportion. McPhee has a great repertoaire with Russians in pre Vegas days. The money-factor is another case though... hopefully he feels like he's achieved what he wants to achieve (for now) in the KHL and taking a year with a couple of bonuses isn't that bad until he goes UFA til the summer 2020.
