Why would the Rangers trade Pionk for Boudrias...? Pionk is a top 4 defenseman while Boudrias might never make the NHL.

Crap there was supposed to a pick in there as well. I'm not all that sold on Pionk's game in his own end.

I like Boudrias's game. He led a bad Gatineau team in scoring his draft year & if he was born 2 days later he'd be in this draft & would probably go higher than round 6.

Just to let you know I can't see the Wild moving any picks in rounds 1-3 unless we are getting a better pick in return. We are going to sell at the deadline and our prospect pool is pretty trash outside of Kaprizov. Our new GM is reportedly not happy with our pool either, which is why I say that.

I was thinking a 3rd than i got greedy & put in the 2nd. I figured with Dumba out, Pionk being a local kid & the Wild still in the playoff picture .....

Boo Nieves is a totally solid fourth line center and hes still young, hes not going anywhere for a 6th round pick

We are in a playoff spot, but since the break we are 1-4-2 and if it weren't for an extremely weak western conference we'd be out of it. I can't see us adding to make a serious run. I like Pionk, but we need to hold onto our picks and prospects.

Boo is a Group 6 UFA so he may be gone for nothing 7/1, otherwise i'd agree. (hes from upstate NY thats why i sent him to Buffalo , although i think he went to HS in CT (KENT) & he's a Wolverine (Go Blue!)

True, but Pionk being 24 & with RFA rights, it's not like your mortgaging the future. hes still a controllable asset, i don't see him as a true top 4 but he can move the puck, & play the PP.

The Zucc trade is fine. Everything else is basically garbage

I still think I'd rather have the pick. There's a few guys projected to go in the 2nd that I really like (more than Pionk).

Based on looking at your last set of moves I’ll take that as a compliment.

That Nashville trade is absurd.
No ones taking Staal
Huberdeau? Hell I like the guy but ...

All the AHL deals are mostly folly for the Group VI UFAs.
