Description

If Vancouver wanted to make a big splash at the deadline they could pursue a deal for stone. I saw someone else had the same idea for a trade but to me it didnt't seem like quite enough for stone and taking eriksson's contract. Baertschi is a solid young player, the canucks first rd pick obviously has value, Juolevi could still be a a top 4 defensemen plus a 3rd rd pick next year. I think Stone would be very interested in re signing with us because we have one of the most promising young core's in the league and honestly who wouldn't want to play with pettersson.

As for the edler trade, I think it could be a good move, (this is assuming that edler will be healthy by the dealine) We would take hainsey as a cap dump and the leafs strengthen their d-line for the playoffs. We would get a couple of picks for edler who we might be able to re-sign in the summer anyway on a cheaper contract anyway. Let me know what you think.

As a Canucks fan i would make these trades everyday of the week, as long as we had a sign and trade agreement with Ottawa. The cap savings is massive and gives us a chance to sign a D man to help out the back end.
