Kerfoot > bura. That’s an easy no for Colorado. Why downgrade?
Duchene will get more than that. He’ll get a first round pick plus A level prospect MINIMUM.
Gustafson is on pace for over 50 points. He’s signed to an incredibly cheap 1.2 mill contract and hawks NEED as much D help as they can get. Even if they were to trade him they could definitely get more

Those players are just not good enough return for Duchene. AHL scorer, 4th liner, 3rd pair D who could maaybe be a 2nd pair guy.

The Avs do not want Bura nor his 3mill cap that he is not worth, nor the 5% minimum raise that he will have to get next year. The Caps don't want to pay it ether. And, there is no way they trade a guy that is the same age, an RFA, and is on pace for 40+ pts for the second year for a guy that has't hit 40 once in the 5years he has played and isn't goin to get close this year. Just because he was a 1st rounder and showed some potential at one point does not mean we want the mess that he is right now. Look to ARZ, they are the ones that trade talent for overpaid busts.

Agree, no way Gus (one of the top offensive D in the league) will go for 2nd and 3rd.

If I'm the Avs, I'd give up a 3rd and andrighetto for burakovsky. He actually might be a good fit playing on Kerfoot's wing.

Good team.... there's no way you can re-sign everybody this summer, so there's no need to overpay for three big free agents in their primes. I mean, sure, overpay and get one of them, or look at cheap rental,s or guys with term remaining who aren't so overhyped right now?
