Who can't pay him? Offer sheets rarely happen, realistically why would he go sign with MTL?

Jets can't pay him. Because MTL needs Sniper + from Finland we have 3 other fins on team.

Almost happen to PK Subban and Shea Weber By Flyers when they were RFA's

Jets can pay him lol. Not sure what you're looking at. He will be getting around 8m give or take. Plus, he would actually have to sign the contract to go to MTL, can't see why he would do that.

Key word, almost happened. It did not, these things rarely happen.

Do you not understand what im saying? 8m is not close to what Laine is worth. Go make Jets team try sign key players then see how much cap room you have left over.

+ I think there going be a lot of offer sheet this summer too many young players

I understand what you're saying, but Laine is not getting anything more than 9m. I have made a lineup for next year and it fits under the cap. He will be a Jet next year. He isn't going to sign with the habs.

There are alot of young players, but look at the history, these rarely happen. Can't see any happening this summer. Teams will make it work.

Honestly if someone is going to pay over 9 million just let him go and take the picks and use the extra $$$ to sign stone, Hayes or bread man. Or turn around and offersheet point, kappy or trade for a Huberdeau. So many options

It’s never benefits the team that matches the offersheet. Weber has a terrible contract. Habs are just stupid and traded him for subban

    Edit.

It would take 10+ m imo and that’ll be 4 1st round picks

In this scenario where Laine signs an offer sheet with the Habs for a $9.5 million AAV wouldn't the compensation to the Jets be four 1st round picks?

Ur Right about letting him go just makes team better in long run.

No highest you go is 9,85m there no way Jets can match it 9.5 good enough dont think going match it at that either.
