Lets say Crosby is a better player than McDavid, in what world is Crosby worth so much more than McDavid??
Minimum Crosby and Guentzel for McDavid, or Crosby and Rust and Maata for McDavid

Lucic is just that big of an anchor. Although Johnson is pretty bad as well not quite as bad. Crosby is the better player currently(and with a smaller contract) but within a few years the answer will be McDavid is better.

Side note, this wouldn't even be the worst move their GM has made.

Their GM Keith Gretzky has been GM for less than a Month.

Yeah, that crazy contract really stretched the market a bit too much. Teams are really shying away from wanting to pay too much for 1 player. Superstars are nice, but It takes a team to win.

I'm not Ken Hitchcock, but if I was I wouldn't ask my GM to make this trade. Just responding to his post game interview from the other night.
Also, if we say Crosby is a better player than McDavid like you did, then I guess in that world Crosby is worth more than McDavid. Does that answer your question?
