not 10 mil for Marner maybe 8 mil. Montour is not worth that much. And Zaitsev is worth at least a third

Marner and his agent already said no to $8 million per, Marner wants Eichel money $10 million per. No way he signs for less.

1. Eichel is better than Marner
2. Eichel is a Center, premium, compared to a winger
3. Ratanen and Points contracts will have implications for Marner since they are all so comparable, but the 2 are doing better.

My bet is a 7 year deal at 8.5-9Mil or a 3 year deal at 5M

I find it interesting that Kap is considered "elite", but that he doesn't find a way to sign a long-term deal in any of these threads.

Will be neat to see how the Leafs deal with this, and I don't see Anaheim agreeing to that deal with Brown attached to it.

They need young guys. Brown could be traded elsewhere I was trying more to free up cap space by adding him in the deal.

Who needs young guys? The team with Troy Terry, Sam Steel, Isac Lundestrom, Daniel Sprong, Maxime Comtois, Antoine Morand, Jack Kopacka, Kalle Kossila, Benoit-Olivier Groulx, Kiefer Sherwood, Jacob Larsson, Josh Mahura, and a top 4 D core that are all locked up long term and under 27 years of age (Manson and Fowler are 27, everyone else is younger).

Heck, even Rakell, Kase and Gibson are 25 or under.

Getzy, Perry, Brian Gibbons and Kesler are the only only guys up front over 30 (Add Eaves who is 34, but who knows if he ever ends up off the LTIR).

I know that the media's narrative right now is that the Ducks are too old, but the future looks pretty solid, especially if the team is can stay healthy for any sustained length of time.

I don’t get to see there games due to the time difference. I did hear the media say that they are aging and I know perry getzy are getting up there. That’s why I made the deal. then would they even want Kap if that was the case?

Sorry for the late reply-

Kap would be a nice piece, but at the end of the day, I'd bet that they'll be a lot quieter than people think. Hard to see them going wild without knowing what this team can do when they're healthy. A whole bunch of 100+ point seasons and Pacific division championships. Hopefully (for my sake) they aren't all in the rear view mirror at this point hahah.

The defense and goalie look good so that’s a good start

Have my fingers crossed for a top 3 pick...

But also know that they'll play themselves back up into the 10-15 range hahahaha.

Yup. Kevin Boyle and Ryan Miller are the new greatest goaltending tandem in the NHL!
