But does Panarin want to go to Dallas? It’s arguably not competitive, at least with the current roster, and certainly not coastal

also it’d be pretty tight cap wise when it’s time to sign Tanev, Schenn, Faksa

The Blues passed the Stars in the standings yesterday. I doubt they’re gonna trade Schenn now.

Edit: that’s clearly a summer trade, and doesn’t look too bad.

Off season move but you’re probably right. Maybe they decide to still sell because of the competition? Idk Binnington looks like the real deal

Just can't see STL and DAL trying to make a trade while they're neck-and-neck in the playoff race. Value looks to be there, but something would have to change, or it would have to be in the offseason. Also Schenn has been lighting it up since moving to wing on the top line... could mean that the Blues re-think the idea of Thomas replacing him next year (could just leave Schenn at wing and give Thomas the 2C job).

Edit: I'm late, and I'm redundant, and I'm going home

I think they can sell him on the big city and one of his best buds Radulov is there. That’s really all I can think of ? but he’d be a great mentor for someone like Gurianov

As of last night Dallas....Is a wildcard.Blues aren't trading Schenn. I actually think the Blues might re-sign him....to be a left winger for the team.

I don't see Blues making that type of move. Blues aren't sellers imo. I think Blues might try to make some moves to get something out of Pietrangelo, but not Schenn.

Likely. Dallas does have the cap space to go and offer him more and worst case Ontario they move Cogliano for more room

I was wondering if Tyler Johnson might be more of a fit because of Tampa’s upcoming cap with Point. Thoughts @Hedman77 ?

No state income tax helps bump his take home pay...not a factor if you're bidding against the panthers tho

Truth to that. Panthers have the best odds imo. To be fair if I was a hockey player, Florida would absolutely be a top 3 place I’d wanna play

That might be interesting, but I highly doubt he waives his clause.

Yeah Johnson would be a fit but I doubt Johnson waives. Maybe Miller?

That’s a good point. One of the best teams we’ve seen in years. Idk if anyone would waive their clause. Maybe it’s possible once they see they acquire Panarin? Idk we don’t got much going for us ?

Miller wouldn’t be bad either. Wouldn’t have to carry much load either with Panarin and Radulov on his wings

Hard pass from Caps on Burakovsky. Doubt they trade him for bad assets and low picks.
