There's tons of cap space to give stone 9 mil, carlo and mcavoy a total of about 10 mil. can trade moore in the offseason if needed. let Staal walk and use studnicka as 3rd line center next year. Heinen's inconsistent makes him take a cheap bridge. Chara would take a little money in hopes for a cup run. At worst give him an Iginla style contract witha cheap base and big games played bonus.

Does Ottawa need to retain salary on Stone? Boston has the cap space and could probably give up a little less if they took on Stone's full contract for the remainder of the year.
