I can't see CAR doing this. Svech > Connor....Svech is an 18 year old rookie, so yeah I'm sticking with that... Pesce @ $4M... > Trouba in value. Trouba a better player, but about to make bank. Also, Trouba gets hurt quite a bit.

Connor is like 21...he has two seasons with a ton of goals...I would say he has better upside plus he can go right in playing top mins with the best. Carolina has space so Trouba is worth way more then Pesce. As for injuries, he has played about as many games the past two seasons as Pesce...so that isnt a problem.

We're going to have to agree to disagree on Svech/Connor. 18 vs 22 is a BIG deal. Playing with Schiefle and Wheeler vs Martinook and Wallmark is a BIG deal. Having 2 more years of ELC as the #2 OA pick vs hitting RFA is a BIG deal. Those are (3) big deals. IMO, right now Svech >>> Connor.

I can kinda see the Trouba/Pesce point. Trouba is the better playing in my opinion.

Connor every commented openly on longterm in Winnipeg or close to the vest, to be honest I think Connor big part of jets future, and one of those guys that brings offense to any line he plays on

My question would be what if Connor signs a identical deal to ehlers and you switch laine for Connor in your deal and you upgrade 2020 3rd to first

Connor wont(it will be at least 6.75) and Laine is such a marketable player that the Jets will not get rid of him
