Description
Mango (Johnsson) is the only top 6 LW in the entire Leafs organization. The rest are depth or middle six players. Unless the Leafs are getting a significant, long term LW upgrade at some point (part of that trade or ACGM), they will not trade him.

If you want value, the Leafs are deep on the RW. Our depth looks like (In bracket is where they project skill wise, not nessisarily where they are now):

Psa: there’s a salary cap and they’ll have to trade someone

I’d say Johnson is #2-3 LW
Other than that great job! No hometown bias. Very accurate

And Ennis is a better 4LW. That’s nitpicking though. Still very good job

Okay, but it wont be Johnsson. WPG has to trade someone, doesn't mean it'll be Scheifele...

He is currently a #2-3, I listed as to where they develop to (in Johnsson case: #2)

Just to nit pick.... add Scott to notable goalie prospects as a starter. Looks good to me and I agree. It seems the game plan is to keep both mango and kappy.

You’re right. It probably won’t be one of Winnipeg’s top tier players. More likely it will be one of their secondary forwards. Hmmmm who are Toronto’s secondary forwards?

I think his point is that Mango stays due to LW depth. Certainly 6m needs to be moved. Hopefully it’s the right 6m that goes.

Mango is our Best and only top 6 LW. My point was WPG wont trade their best C when they don't have anything behind it.
If we were to trade anyone, it would be our depth guys where we have depth (Brown and Kapanen).

You missed the entire point of this post. Congrats...

Brown, Hyman, lindholm.... shouldn’t be kappy or Johnsson. It may become necessary.

No no, I got it. I just think that you posting it as a foregone conclusion is a little much

And even if it was, it'd be Kappy over Johnsson due to positional need, which was the entire point of this acgm.

I'd also say you under value Trevor Moore, if given the same chance Johnsson is currently seeing I'd say he too could crack a #2 Winger spot.

Very good profound analysis again ( same as the one with Matthews, Marner and Nylander contract options you made back in Oct, but unfortunatelly Dubarelli proved you wrong and me also with mine which was based on production and points )
