Explain to me how losing John Hayden, luke Johnson, who are bottom 6 prospects, losing Murphy and dahlstrom for a good young d man paranko and losing Mitchell with all those other d-men sacrifices Chicago’s future??? Read description next time bud

first the blues probably aren't trading Para, second trading out a 2nd round pick is costly for a team that could use a make over.

We have all the guys we need really in our system, young debrincat and strome, sikura, Kane and toews still good, and d-men like Gus, boqvist, jokiharju, beudin, chad krys, and goalie Collin Delia, this team is fine for prospects

For Parayko, the talk start when you include Alex DeBrincat. Murphy almost a cap dump, Dahlstrom's 24 yo not playing NHL, worth almost nothing. So 1 A prospect for a young top pairing Dman ? No way

If this team was "fine" it wouldn't be struggling to make the playoffs. Every one thinks they have all this depth. My god, I have looked at penguins fans all year telling me Simon is depth when he should be playing in the AHL. Every team can use 2nd round picks to try to find a difference maker. Trading it out for a rental in hopes of getting past round 1 is a total waste.

Yea well this ain’t the pens, this is Chicago, and the penguins got 0 depth, Chicago go plenty, here, we also got Evan barratt, and Phillip kurashev who are really good, also goalie prospect Alexis gravel, Blackhawks have depth, unlike the pens.

If you had depth you wouldn't be fighting for a playoff spot. My god be honest.
Depth is a word people use to say, hey we got some guys. What you don't have are difference makers. If you did, you'd be in the hunt.

I'll be reasonable, Murphy is decent but he's a downgrade on Parayko, Dahlstrom is an AHL callup and adding in one decent D prospect doesn't make up for the difference between Parayko and Murphy.
Also the Blues are back in the playoff hunt so they have zero reason to trade Parayko right now.

Parayko is a monster, arguably the best defensive defenseman in the league. There is no chance the Blues are trading him to their biggest rival for that return.

I get the want for Parayko-he's really good, however the Blues are in 3rd place in the Central as I type, they're not selling. Earlier in the season, they may (or may not?) have been listening on Pietrangelo. Besides that, for Parayko- he's signed for a few more seasons at a very reasonable 5.5M for a D as good as him, it'd be like a 1st rd, Boqvist, maybe something else? If it's not a trade package that'd be painful for Blackhawks fans to see go, the Blues probably won't be interested in it.
I think Simmonds might cost a 1st round pick at the TDL. A legit contender will overpay for him.
