This deal actually makes a lot of sense but would Stone wanna sign in STL?

I wouldn't change a thing with how we have been playing that's just going to cause issues for the chemistry....and getting Stone into the game plan and working in the gameplan won't be easy.

Stone will step in and immediately be the best player on our team, I think he’ll figure it out.

I don't think so, you saw what happened when we brought in other guys. Stone is good, but don't underestimate the learning curve of a new group, plus this is only hurting us in the long run Ottawa will only take overpayment for Stone. which isn't worth it whatsoever.

Either way that's a terrible deal for Ottawa. Kyrou and a mid 1st next year are good. The bad; cap dump Allen (Hello Andy), Stone retention (Hello Melnyk) and unlucky dime a dozen Fabbri won't cut it...

The thinking is that Ottawa probably wants quality over quantity and Kyrou is probably the best prospect that they can get. On most lists, Kyrou is a top-15 prospect and those guys almost never get traded.

I agree with you, but my question (legitimate too - I'm not being a smart azz) to you is why do you think he wouldn't want to sign with St. Louis? Again, I ask this respectfully.

I would agree about Kyrou being top 15, but who ranks higher? Necas? Sandin? Carter Hart (if he even counts anymore)?

Glass, Necas, Hughes, Makar, Kravstov are for sure better than him but after that you could make an argument for him.

Glass is for sure. Hughes isn't even drafted yet, Sam! Necas is exciting. Makar has a lot of hype surrounding him for sure. Kravstov will be elite one day. I agree with you: Kyrou is special. You can't teach that kind of speed.
