Description
Another idea, "rumors" are that the Bruins are linked to Simmonds, I havent read anything about Staal and the Bruins its just someone I really want for our 3rd line center. The right side can be tweaked with but this is what I put together. Might be low on value with Simmonds.

If that's all they want for Simmonds I'll drive down to Philly and get him for you

Lol I didn't know who to package for him, maybe Donato instead of Senyshyn? I saw a Philly mock that had a 2nd and a prospect so i figured a 3rd + 6th kind of compensates the 2nd

Best guess 2nd and donato is a decent guess Simmonds isn't having a great year but he's a guy they'd love here.

I've been reading BOS has been scouting OTT a lot and they're showing an interest in Dzingel. But I can't see Sweeney paying up for him

You'd think dzingle would cost at least a 1st and a good prospect. Not sure Sweeney has the guts for that. The B's look like they're peaking about now so they need to do something

Yeah I really want Eric Staal, I think he'd be a really good fit here and he could be someone that we could resign at a reasonable price. I think Kuhlman has looked really good in his first two games. Knowing Sweeney that will convince him to hold off on getting a winger to upgrade the third line. I dont feel comfortable having Nordstrom or Backes on that line come playoffs

staal should be jfk and a second id guess which is a small price to pay to add him for a playoff run.

If you want Simmer, you are going to have to give up your 1st rounder.

Nah. Guys on a serious decline. Not worth a 1st rounder.

In this market this year I think its going to be tough to fetch a first for Simmonds. He's having a down year and has regressed the last 3 seasons production wise. If there weren't so many rental options I'd agree but thats not the case. I can see a 2nd rounder with a condition if he resigns maybe and a prospect for Simmonds. Just my opinion.

I'll admit that I didn't make the best offer for him and Philly would probably get a better one for him

Decline or not, he brings more to the table than just points. If you won't pay a 1st, someone will.
