swap boyd with stephenson or jaskin? I think boyd is more value and I don't think it would really make or break the trade. also nice to see you making a caps post. have you come to the dark side?

I'm the one with the cookies.

I'm not a Boyd fan so I am okay with him going, and he has term which makes him more appealing to the other team.

none of the players are going to break the bank.

boyd doesnt impress but out of everyone we have in the bottom 6 I think he has the most potential to move up to the middle 6

you have cookies we have..... Eli

Holy overpayments, Batman!

Burakovsky at 24 has two seasons of 15+ goals and 30+ points. Glendening at 29 has career highs of 12 and 20.

These are good, solid, eat-your-vegetables kinds of pickups. But you're going out for a $400 salad, here. Tip your waiter!

Bowey has 18 points in his first 84 NHL games. He's also got plenty of hits and blocks, and is learning to kill penalties a bit. He was a steady point a game defenseman in juniors, and has a lot of upside still.

He's almost enough to get either of these trades done, on his own, if the Caps are brave enough to trade him.

I mean, Jensen doesn't have a season over 15 points and he's four years older than Bowey, less likely to keep improving. He plays slightly bigger minutes, but one for one, Bowey's got about 100% more trade value, because who knows where Jensen lands as a UFA.

Boyd for Glendening, straight up, gives Detroit a different 4C with more skill, four years younger. Boyd is fourth on the Caps in points/60 this year, and signed cheaply next year. Glendening is better on faceoffs, and will walk as a UFA. Boyd is worth much more than Glendining.

You can keep Burakovsky if you waive Jaskin and paper-demote Vrana. Or if anyone on the roster gets hurt. So you're trading Burakovsky just to get a rise out of me? Well done.

That's because he is not offensive. It's not all about points.

Clueless.

I don't understand.

Burakovsky leads the Caps in 4-on-5 corsi for %. Glendening leads Wings forwards in SHTOI. Who's better on defense? It's really tough to compare that stuff across different teams, so I only commented on faceoff percentage, where Glendening absolutely is a big step up, but isn't much better than Eric Fehr, who is available for a 4th round pick.

Everyone knows that you don't understand. It is crystal clear. Glendening is better than Burakovsky defensively. No pause. None. Stop just looking at stat lines. Watch a game. Figure out how hockey actually works.

Yeah. I don't know anything. I'm just here for fun. But Wings fans have said yes to trading Glendening for a cap dump and a 2nd, and there are good trades out there on this board for Burakovsky. People are okay with Montour straight up. Nichushkin and a 2nd. Burakovsky and a 2nd for Tomas Tatar. Some Detroit fans are okay with Burakovsky straight up for Nyquist, which I think the Caps lose, by July 1st, when both are signed back in Detroit, drinking champagne with Mike Green.

Reading this hate posting with a late night beer is seriously one of my favorite things. I’m going to start quoting advanced metrics of people on here. Wonder who leads in likes/60 posts and traffic-for percentage?

Nothing good comes from love. Growth comes from hate.
