Tolvanen sounds about right...another left-shot forward with skating issues...

The shot though......... He's not an awful sakter. I'd say he's average.

What does this say about MD. I think the deal is being finalized if this piece has dropped. Boston might know something and got in on the jump.

Minny finally rebuilding in an attempt to escape the confines of mediocrity. I’m happy for you guys.

I do like this trade, but I'm not sure Fenton is the captain I want steering this rebuild ship. I guess we'll see what other moves he makes prior to the deadline. We have apparently been going hard after Fiala.

I feel like the Bruins may have given up on Donato a bit too early. I hope he does well for you guys out in Minny.

As a Bruins fan, Donato will likely not be C at NHL level and has mostly played wing in Boston. Also, let him in the A this year or give him some games but not at C and in top6 to start.

Wild management is finally not being p*ssies which is encouraging for you guys but I definitely agree about Fenton. The Johansson pick was otherworldly bad and so was the Nino trade. I don’t trust him.

Brent Flahr (our previous assistant GM who is now the AGM in Philly) ran our draft and made the Johansson pick. The Rask trade was bad, but I sort of see the thought process for Fenton. Nino gave 0 effort for us this year and was on the 4th line for a while before he was traded. I think Fenton saw an opportunity to move a $5.25M 4th line LW for a former 20g scoring center (which is a huge need for us) and he bit. Unfortunately, Rask is an awful skater and has not been very good.

I do agree, though, that the moves he's made are somewhat questionable.

Good lord, I’m not even sure Johansson will come close to the NHL. I’m sure he defends fine and he’s a nice skater, but man. I’m all for reaching on picks, but at least reach for high end potential.

You never know. As of now I don't like the pick but I guess we'll see once he gets to the NHL.

You guys got the guy who I wanted: Dominik Bokk. He looks like he'll be a top 6 forward in the NHL, insane puck-handling skills, too.

If we would go after Fiala or Tolvanen both those guys would be nice on the Wild and I’d rather have Prospects over Picks to stay competitive when Kaprizov arrives

I agree. I think both would be nice, Fiala is more of a playmaker but he's got some very nice speed to his game. Tolvanen is pretty much an average player everywhere except for his shot. Now that we (probably) have Donato, I think I might prefer Fiala, but you can never have too many goal-scorers.

He was my favorite prospect of the draft of all the guys that might be available at our pick. I think he's going to be filling our net for years to come.

Yeah totally agree with you can never have to many goal scorers With Kaprizov coming over who is lightning it up as those 2 as 1-2 punch and also Tolvanen can play both sides but LW is his stronger side.

Tough call. I think we should keep him in the AHL for now. If he starts lighting it up, then call him up and try him at 3C.

Hey they called him up. Looks like they are giving him a shot. Honestly I think hes a better LW than a C
