Let the playoffs begin

Created by: pasha123
Team: 2018-19 Toronto Maple Leafs
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 15, 2019
Published: Feb. 20, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
NJ gets a decent Dman with term which will help them with the cap floor next year, T. O gets a Vet for this year's playoffs and then cap space for next year to re-up KK and AJ.

NYR won't get much for AM this gives them yet another 7th round pick and Dman prospect, T. O adds another Rd vet for playoffs.

LA gets a younger version of Clifford with a bit more up side in Gauthier and some good young fast players to help their rebuild, T.O gets Clifford Stanley cup experience and grit, Kempe adds more grit with some skill. T.o loose skill and speed in this move but get what they need, some bulls who battle and bang along the boards and make life a bit harder for opponents

Bracco is a replacement if Leafs loose kasperi. Bracco will be good but he needs top 6, I don't see him making it in the Leafs top 6. Kempe is underrated for those that don't follow LA.

Don't worry -- Kings aren't giving up Kempe, particularly for that package. He was a first-round pick, remember?

Dubas at the draft table to Hunter "FEDOR GORDEEV, I WANT FEDOR GORDEEV!"

*Backhands Mark Hunter

FEDOR GORDEEV

Edit for anyone who wants to have any idea what we are referencing the almighty Steve Dangle

Gauthier was also a first round pick, I think they were taken in about the same spot, late first round and year apart

It was a hard decision to add Fedor but sometimes you have to give to get

Yeah, but Kempe has already shown much more than Gauthier.

No doubt he has!! I'm a fan of Kempe, I like his game. Gauthier doesn't replace Kempe. Brown though has shown more than Gauthier too, he would flourish in LA with the extra playing time that he would get from the lose of Kempe. Bracco will help out next year, he has a lot skill and speed which LA sorley lacks

With all the right-handed forwards we already have, two more is one too many.

Fair point, a balance is definitely needed.
