Khadri Goes

Created by: Murph
Team: 2018-19 Toronto Maple Leafs
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 21, 2019
Published: Feb. 21, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Unfortunately I think Khadri will be the odd man out, as Marleau cannot be traded. Dont think Zaitsev is as bad without Gardiner and Gardiner will probably not be traded before draft. CAR already added Neidoreiter, could use a solid C like Khadri. Going forward this allows adding a good D, and a bit of grit up front. At Draft trade Brown to EDM for Pulujarvi, and Gardiner to whoever for picks. Allows almost 20 million to sign Marner, Kap, Sparks and Johannson, and fill holes with own depth .players

Carolina won't accept Nazem Kadri it's going to have to be Wiliiam Nylander+ for you to remotely get close for Brett Pesce.

Ya, no. Nylander +? No chance. If Waddell wants Nylander for Pesce 1-1 Dubas deletes hit number from his contact list

Well, Nylander hasn't produced as much offense as good as Pesce's defense done. Carolina doesn't need anyone from Toronto, you guys need pesce more than carolina needs anyone from Toronto. They need Pesce more than anyone from your team. This is why it would cost more. Also the bonuses Carolina would have to pay, and the problems with what his contract will be compared to what Pesce's better contract and a steal of a contract.

Well..no one is trading for Nylander this year...nor is he available...so any bonsues get taken care of after July 1st by the leafs.

2nd...it's kind of ignorant to take a small sample size on Nylander to make a blanket statement on his offence.

3rd....leafs seem to be doing just fine as a top 5/6 team in the league without any help from Carolina or their defence...how is that spectacular D helping Carolina's efforts? Seems to me the hurricanes have more to gain from finding scoring than the leafs have to gain from adding D...so that will not tilt the scales in any trade offer.

4th...Pesce is one dimensional. He's an incredible, young, shut-down d-man. The leafs could certainly use that...but he's not what I would view as a 'complete package' type player (nor is Nylander for that matter)...but he's not the type of player the leafs should consider trading off a core piece for

Leafs would be better off not making any trade than doing Nylander + for Pesce (and it appears they currently are better off)

This maybe the most ridiculous thing you have ever said, which is impressive!

Carolina cant score. Nylander has two 20 goal seasons and 60 point seasons under his belt. If he was put on a team without Babs system and could fly around with Aho, he will be an 80 point guy, period.

Nylander's points come from Tavares, Marner, Matthews, Kapanen. You have no proof that he will be "80 Point scorer a year" He is definitely paid like one, but definitely not in the position to be a 80 point scorer. If I am ridiculous, and you say Nylander is a normal 80 point scorer. you are a a casual hockey fan nothing more nothing less.

That is a very sad comment. Dont make outrageous blanket comments, it just shows how little you know. First and foremost Nylander has played some of his best hockey of the the top lines. He made Martin, Moore and Nylander line look like a second line last year rather than a fourth. Talk about casual hockey fan, maybe Nylander haters need to watch a game for once. Every team fights and defends their stars when they struggle, the same people saying Laine is a God even though he is 15 games without a goal, are you going to bash him? Get off your high @$$hole horse for once and just shut up. No one cares about your troll mentality.

No I was paying attention to him, he might be having an off year, but I think Carolina would rather pick up someone else that is better and wouldn't cost them pesce.

The irony of Pesce is this the argument you use against Nylander. Nylander cant play away from one of the greatest offense in the league, well can Pesce play away from one of the greatest defense in the league? Are we really saying Pesce is going to be more of an impact player long term than Nylander!? The guy already has two 60 point seasons under his belt. To say Nylander doesn't have more to give is foolish, and to say Pesce has more upside is also foolish. Pesce is a shutdown defender, period. Nylander has so much more potential. They shouldn't be in the same conversation.

Kappi for Pesce, period.

When pesce makes his linemate look good then sure you can say he isn't good, you can say he is carried, you can say that nylander is better. But it is a Toronto fan with a St.Louis fan telling you Nylander isn't as good. and a lot of other teams fans say the same thing. Might be biasness. And Carolina would rather keep Pesce you can go find someone else.

Then have fun trying to stop offenses like New York, Arizona, much less St.Louis. 2 Lucky Goals doesn't get you a win. Especially with a bad defense already.
