The Ottawa trade seems close
The one with Carolina doesn’t
Doubt Detroit can (wants to) take on Hainsey’s Cap hit, so that’s a no as well

What do you think you would need to add for the Ottawa trade?
Carolina is desperate for offence and they appear to want Kapanen A LOT. It almost seems 1 for 1. What would need to change?
True on Detroit. I would probably think a 2nd rounder or a better prospect for them to take Hainseys cap.

Horton being in the trade with the Canes doesn’t do anything. Leafs better off just keeping him LTIR. Canes are a cap floor team right now and would be able to recover his cap like the Leafs will next year.

Carolina trade works out like this:

Kapanen to take on Horton contract & Timashov & 4th for Hamilton That is a NO

Ottawa trade works like this:

1st to take on Zaitsev's contract, Liljegren, Brown and 2nd for Stone, plausible but I believe they get more from other teams without taking on contracts.

Detroit works like this:

Detroit is not taking on cap and getting a b-prospect when everything you read lately is Jensen is moving up trade charts.

Dubas says: "We are not trading Sandin, Liljegren, or a future 1st for a rental" .. what do you do out and do? Move Liljegren and a future 1st for Stone.. who's a rental. Not happening.

You’re trying to unload too much junk in these deals

And with Hamilton,
Kapanen just isn’t a good enough piece
If that trade was a possibility...
don’t u think the Leafs would’ve done it already?
