You aren't in as bad of shape as the Oilers though. I shed tears for you but more for my Oilers. 9 picks in the first two rounds of the next 2 drafts is a good place to be. Just don't be Oilery and trade 3 of those picks of Griffin Reinhart.

If Ottawa gets fair value for their big UFAs, and then cap space for few years, (at spend it wisely) no reason to think that Ottawa can't be playoff contender soon.
