Also, the cap DOES work. Tampa has $7.938M in deadline cap space. In this transaction they added $15.15M and sent out $10.978M. The difference ($4.172M) is less than $7.938M. In reality the cap is calculated daily, whereas in this mock the whole annual cap hit is placed on the team.

That's not enough to OTT and nobody is waiving their NTM/NTC's to leave TB.

Cap is not the issue, NTCs are the issue (as stated above).

Also, Duchene and Stone alone are going to net 3+ 1st round picks, plus several A and B prospects. I agree Tampa should go all in, but they don't have the ammo for 3 (plus the teaser to get OTT to take on Callahan and Killorn's cap hit) even barring the NTCs (modified for Callahan, full for Killorn).

Finally, why in the world would you mess with that chemistry? You are praying that Duch/Stone/Dzing mesh before they get deep into the playoffs. As many writers have mentioned this season, teams that win it all typically don't do huge moves at the deadline (Kempny 2.0 is the term you keep hearing). That's also why most SCF teams only move picks, and not roster pieces at the deadline.
