It would be conditional if minni makes playoffs it remains a first of the miss it it becomes a second for 2019. You can’t lie though these trades are fairly realistic Gardiner is from minni and he would love to play for them and it goes minni extra time to sign him long term and the leafs add three tough guys (brown for minni, mcquaid from rangers and Clifford from kings

You wouldn't be able to overpay for Mcquaid if that were the case

Oh I forgot they are making the playoffs. You do realize the kings are willing to trade kovalchuck, brown, carter there in a reabuild right now and will trade anyone as long as the the right trade pops up and this trade would help them getting a 26 yr old depth forward and a 2020 third rounder

I understand all of that. The Kings still aren't trading Kyle Clifford. He's worth more to them than any team would be willing to give up in a trade. They call him the "letterless leader" and he is up for their unsung hero award every year. The players and coaches love him.

If someone wants to give up a 1st round pick for him, then sure I'm sure the Kings would consider it. However, no one is going to give up a 1st for Kyle Clifford.

The Kings would rather keep him.

He’s not even worth a third but I’m stilling offering that and adding lindholm who’s worth a 5th I’m basically sending them two draft picks a mid round and a late round giving up lindholm and a 4th is what he is worth your insane if he would ever go for more and they certainly would prefer a 26 yr old LW/C and a third for him

You're missing the point.

I'm fully aware that he's not worth more than that in a trade. My point is that he's more valuable to the Kings than anything that anyone would be willing to give up for him, and therefore the Kings will not trade him.
