Thats why you unreasonably traded half of the team right?

That Carolina trade is... um... interesting? did Dougie Hamilton turn into Bobby Orr?

Considering what Washington paid for Jensen. The trade with Islanders is reasonable but I will admit that the 4th round pick needs to be swapped out in terms of Toronto sending Islanders a 2nd round pick.

As far as the trade with Calgary goes, it's a similar price that Washington paid. but Calgary has control on Hickey for a few years.

Trade with Carolina seems fair because Ferland is a rental and Hamilton for some reason cannot stick with a team...Carolina gets a future top 4 defenseman back in Dermott, Current 4 or 5 defenseman in Zaitsev plus a B level prospect in Tymashov, C level prospects in Brooks and Lindgren and two second round picks and a 3rd round

Nope, but he's a top 4 right handed shooting defenseman with term.

Dougie Hamilton seems to be a cancer. I wouldn't trade Dermott for him 1 for 1, let alone everything else.

the picks going the other way are more than enough. Muzzin got a late 1st and two B level prospects. And Dermott is better than what was sent for Muzzin. So the trade is fair.

Gardiner Trade solves Islanders need of a 2nd pairing Left handed Offensive Defenseman to play with Pulock. If you read the comment I made earlier, I realized it was lopsided in favour of Toronto which is why I suggested the 4th be turned into a 2nd round pick

I think Babs can set him straight and it's worth the risk for a top 4 right handed defense man who is proven to produce.

I have some questions: (1) Why would Lamoriello trade us his first-round pick for Gardiner, let alone all the rest? (2) Why would Calgary trade us Rasmus Andersson and a second for Thomas Hickey? (3) Why are we trading for a guy you yourself describe as someone who can't stick with a team? (4) Why are we trading 5 guys whose modest cap hits are essential for next year? (5) Why are we trading Dermott at all? After June 30, he will be the third-most-valuable defenseman on the roster.
