Cerneck .. and Cirelli .. are virtually untouchable now due to talent and contracts.. Sergey and Gourde make sense

Sergachev or Gourde.. not both.. neither would hurt Tampa in playoffs which is ONLY thing that matters and HELPS cap for Point and Vaz in 2020

To all below, it would be very unlikely that BriseBois would make the trade above and give up pieces that will hurt his current team. I think he would be making a trade that will help or at least keep the roster neutral while trying to cut cap for next year. Adding Ristolainen would help the Bolts to win this year, but giving up both Sergachev, and Cernak to get Ristolainen does not make any sense. Tampa is obviously loaded with NHL talent and does not need any help from prospects now in the near future, additional cap space is critical to keeping the team in tact. So let's drop any defensemen going to Buffalo and concentrate on cap. JT Miller is grossly over paid with half the goals of Johnson at a higher salary, add him to the trade. Callahan's contract runs out next year so Buffalo could take that on because Dahlin's $10KK minimum will not kick in until the following year. If Betterall is going to be taking on salary BriseBois will need to pay for it, a very early 2nd round pick should do it, in the case of TBL that is called a first. The talent difference between Miller and Ristolainen is a good prospect or Cal Foote. As I said earlier BriseBois will not want to diminish the teams chances this year so he will need a scoring winger to take Miller's spot, as the trade above indicates Pominville is perfect because his contract runs out this year. So BUF trades Ristolainen (50% retained) & Pominville to TBL for J.T. Miller, Callahan, Foote and 2019 first. Callahan is a pure cap dump, Miller is a partial cap dump (he is over paid for his production by at least $1KK per year), the first is nearly a 2nd and Foote is a good prospect, but he is only a prospect. If Betterall made this trade, I hope he is planning on more this TDL because he just announced that he is giving up on the year and planning for the future, because BUF will only have one NHL RHD. if that if the case how will it affect Skinner's likely hood of signing with a team that will not be competing for at least 2 years? This is a difficult decision, the first and Foote help in the future, Miller and Callahan not so much for the present. I do not see a trade with the Bolts in the future for Ristolainen unless it is a big over payment. I do not see BriseBois making a big over payment. I would appreciate hearing from all of you.

NAH .. Sergachev perfect for Buffalo .. Miller too valuable .. recall Erne and Joseph are rookies and likely to sit/suck in playoffs .. Cirelli stunk last year as example .. MILLER would be big loss.. we only have 2 forwards over 200 lbs . Erne the rookie and
Miller..zero chance of us getting smaller
SERGACHEV is the no brainer to trade

No way Botterill is taking salary back that goes into next year unless it is a young player....drop Pominville and Callahan or take Okposo instead of Pominville. The Sabres are finally seeing daylight in the cap next year with Pomer and Moulson coming off the books.
