2 Year Rental Trades PREDS ILSES

Description
I think the Nashville trade makes a ton of sense both ways. I am not sure about the Islander Trade because I don't know how they feel about Pullock, but he sure seems to have developed into a very good player...so maybe that trade doesn't make sense. Both Spurgeon and Granlund have another year on their current deals so they are, at minimum, 2 year rentals.

Trades
1.
MIN
  1. Tolvanen, Eeli
  2. 2019 3rd round pick (FLA)
2.
MIN
  1. Ho-Sang, Joshua
  2. Pulock, Ryan
  3. 2019 1st round pick (NYI)
Additional Details:
Spurgeon is a great player...I might even say superstar player this year. He just keeps getting better and better. The only reason I want to move him is because the Wild's window is NOT now...and it looks like the Islanders is. Ho Sang is a throw in here...a potential lottery ticket for the Wild. I can be eliminated from this deal if necessary to even out the sides...
NYI
  1. Spurgeon, Jared ($1,187,500 retained)
Additional Details:
I would still prefer a trade with the Leafs with the Wild getting Zaitzev and Kapanen back, but I would make this deal too. The Wild get younger, and add a 1st to help fill the cupboard.
3.
MIN
Any team...to the highest bidders at the deadline.

This seems more fair to me. I'd love Fiala and Tolvanen but I'm just not sure Poile will give them both up

What's your assessment of the Islanders trade?

I like it. Pulock seems to have some nice upside and if Spurgeon isn't a part of our long term goals then I think a trade like this makes sense. Although trading Spurgeon would really hurt...

Also, if Granlund is traded for Tolvanen or Fiala or both, what the hell does Fenton plan to do at center? He better hope that our 1st is in the top 10 so we can draft one.

Good points. For next year, anyway, the Wild can play Koivu/Ek/Rask/??? down the middle and use it as a year to figure out the future. Kunin is an option to move to the middle. ( I can't believe how he has changed my mind about him!!). The way I look at roster moves/trades is you get the best pieces, best value you can...then you can always turn those pieces into pieces that fill needs with subsequent trades.

Glad you're on the Kunin hype train, I've loved the kid since he donned the cardinal red. I'd like to see him at center on the Wild, he played the position very well in college. I guess rolling with Koivu - Ek - Rask down the middle isn't terrible.
