How good is Brannstrom? I know he's good but it doesn't look like enough for Stone. Maybe i'm undervaluing Brannstrom though.

Yep. Stone trades mean 100% they are finishing last rather than bottom 5

Finishing last with 1 point away from 2nd last is no different from finishing 20 points from 2nd last. The odds are still the same. And if you finished last there's over 50% chance that they don't win any of the spots.

Yes. But with Stone, there is a chance they could finish bottom 5. With Stone gone, they are virtually a lock for last

TBH OTT will be looking real good in a couple years. Dorion gets ripped on a lot for the original duchene/hoffman trades (deservedly so), but he has done a real nice job of getting assets for them as rentals. They are loaded with picks and top end prospects and by the time Brannstrom is entering his prime he will be surrounded with talent

Not really, and there's chances you draft a bust. There is always that chance. It's not likely but it could happen.

Well at least on the bright side for him he’s got a faster path to the NHL now and bigger money, as long as he doesn’t mind playing for a losing team

well obviously...

No matter what way you look at it OTT just lost their best player, which makes them even more likely to finish last, which means COL will most likely have the best odds of picking 1st
