Radical Lineup Idea for Tonight

Description
If Mittelstadt is still out and they don't want to recall DOR yet, why not try Bogosian at forward? He is big, fast, physical, can shoot and has some quickness for his size. He's makes mistakes on D and isn't a great breakout guy/accurate passer but the physical tools are definitely there. Maybe he can reinvent himself as a punishing 3rd/4th line RW who will drop the gloves. With Montour and Risto, he's down to the 3rd pair anyway and we're not making the playoffs. Along that same line, play Dahlin and Montour together and let them do full speed D-to-D exchanges and drop passes to each other on the breakout and regroup and live with the growing pains. Why not.

I like the idea lol, Bruins played Krug at forward one game last year, and it was cool to watch... My only question would be, why him over Dahlin? Dahlin is a pure offensive D man who is a righty with more points than all of the forwards taken in this year draft (tkachuk, svechnikov,...) But yeah fun to see lol

Why not? Because you said it yourself, Bogosian isnt a good skater. He would slow down our forecheck even more. Guhle would have been a great guy to transition to forward though

Bogosian is right where he should be on the 3rd pair.

i didn't say that. i think bogo has above average speed for his size. he's a lot faster than okposo and sobotka. if you told him to skate hard and punish the first defenseman on the puck, i think he would do that well. his physical tools, especially his skating ability at his size, is why he went so high in the draft but he didn't have mental game to put it together to be an elite D man.

Dahlin isn't a pure offensive RHD... He shoots left and is a two way guy with really good offense. You're description is a bit more fitting of Ristolainen regarding Sabres defenders.
