    Enormous overpayment. Beaudin, 1 first, and a B prospect would probably do it.

    I prefer to err on the side of overpay on this site. Lindholm is a 1/2 defender on a reasonable contract for 3 years. I think that's an exceptional asset in the modern NHL.

    I do think a team would have to overpay to get Lindholm. Given they have Perry/Getzlaff each at over 8M per for the next few seasons & Gibson at 6.4 for the next bunch of years, I doubt they start a full rebuild this year. They could talk themselves into a few less injuries, a few tweaks, and they're back.

    Lindholm is just what the Hawks need, but I would be hard pressed to see the Ducks trade him since at 25, he's still young enough to be part of a rebuild.

    Nice thinking on the Frolik trade. Cheap acquisition.
