Lets undo some bad cap moves for run

Description
bored playing around so don't be too harsh. Not sure on fairness of any of the trades or contract to Kapanen and Ferland. I doubt Toronto would want Gudbranson with their cap issues, he's more of a throw in, can be dealt elsewhere but don't care to change it. I actually think Kapanen might get more than that but everyone I see has him roughly around 3.5m for 2 or 3yrs. Also signing of Ferland 100% is hoping cap goes up at least 4m and that I'm close on his $$ and Kapanen's. Dumba trade adds a tough great modern day d-man with his skating and shot. Minnesota get some much needed forward scoring in Kessel and a solid 2nd pair d-man in Maatta. Overall just trying to get rid of some current bad contracts handcuffing the team and trying to find more help for Crosby and Malkin

Vancouver doesn’t need Johnson. They have a surplus of young Dmen and are going to keep Tanev and Edler for vets. Dubas (Tor) will not give Kapenen up for Bluegger a 1st and a cap dump. And I don’t think the Pens will want to pay the price to get Kapanen, it would probably be that package plus an mid level NHL player off the roster.

Toronto probably cant afford to take on a cap dump, but if the pens wanted kapanen they could get him for a lot less than blueger and a 1st, unless Toronto trades away somebody else they wont have any choice but to get rid of kapanen for lower value.

I would take the third out of the trade with Minnesota.

Add another third from Nashville for hornqvist.

    Cullen probably retires.

You do realize people are talking Kapanen for Pesce right? Someone even offered Spurgeon with Ret for him (a MIN fan who REALLY likes Kappy).
If kappy got moved, he would bring back a good haul.

You do also realise that half the people on this site have completely different outlook on value to actual GM's.

Just look at half the pre deadline trades where a player is worth a 1st+ to some and a 4th to others. Then goes for a pair of 3rds in reality.

Bottoms line (literally) don't use people's trades on here to assign value it's obny a slightly more accurate value meter than nhl18
    pharrow and awesome liked this.

just cause they made those trade ideas on here doesn't mean its accurate. I do think if he is traded they can get something decent but leafs fans are in denial if they are gonna get a massive amount when unless they trade somebody else they have no leverage since they would have no choice but to trade kap.
