As a Ranger fan, I would hope NY would insist on Dumba over Brodin.

There is no chance that Brodin alone would get Stepan. Would have to be a first rounder in there as well.

Could be a first, I agree with mikeblue and Dickie about Ranger player evaluations. Chicago has more cap issues than anyone, why would they think of taking Vanek? Bickell is 1m a year buyout for 2 years.

Rangers and the Wild are ok trading partners, but really not that great. Neither have draft picks, both have bloated contracts, and both are cap tight.

I saw no to Hawks trade (almost any Hawks trade that didn't include the name Towes actually). just because I wouldn't want to play against Vanek (with a grudge?) 5 times a year + maybe 7 in the playoffs.
