ah k I see. That does make sense. Sorry I missed that. This would be a nice move but can't see it happening. I like his size over Suzuki's for sure lol.

I don't think habs will resign Tatar after his contract (to make room for the kids on the top lines).
So habs can use him as bait to get Tippett, Tippett is better and bigger than Suzuki.

Maybe bigger and better but not a 60 point winger better. Tatar could get multiple picks in a trade and you're considering him just a throw in here

That is debatable.

Either way even if you are right, is Tippett better than Suzuki by the amount of Tatar with 1.8M retained for 2 more years after this? No. That's my beef. Even if we assume a team was willing to pay what Vegas paid for Tatar (with 1.8M retention this time), in no way should anyone trade Suzuki, 1st, 2nd and a 3rd for Tippett. That is an over payment for nothing. Its not like Tippett is destroying the OHL or he was crazy good in the WJC or anything. He's a good prospect. i'd love to have to have him. So is Suzuki though, (who is also a center which is more valuable than a winger in general) and than Tatar's value on top of that.
