I think Jeff Gorton would personally take a plane to tampa and beat the living crap out of Yzerman. What is that trade?

You do realize Yzerman stepped down & BriseBois took over in September rolling eyes ...

@Hedman4Norris I never thought of threatening Killer with LTIR lol, that's an interesting idea... If that's a legit method to get him to waive his NTC, that changes everything regarding cap problems!

I think rather than forcing Kilorn to waive, TB will probably move players that cannot control their own fate and can at least grab some return on said players. Callahan is for sure one of those players, and I am also thinking along the lines of JT Miller.

I believe Point will not cost you $10 million AAV; I would expect an AAV lower than Kucherov's.

And as some others have previously mentioned, NYR would likely decline that offer. Try to put yourselves in NYR's shoes: they know you have to be cap compliant and need to move Callahan (at least half of his contract) off the books. NYR will have decent leverage in this sort of trade negotiation.

Rangers will not give up Lias Andersson in a trade where A) they have the leverage of knowing that Tampa needs to be Cap compliant (as mentioned above) and B) they are taking Callahan's full hit with nothing retained. As much as it hurts me to include Fast, I think there is a decent chance Rangers don't resign him. In that case:

To Tampa: Fast and 5th Rounder
To NYR: Katchouk, Callahan and 3rd
