Description

Think it’s reasonable that Kappy and Johnsson get 1 year deals to compete for Marleau’s money.
Marner could definitely get more, but there’s cap space to move out in Zaitsev if you have to.
Carrying 20 players is totally reasonable with the Marlies in the same city. You can easily use an emergency call-up for road trips.
The young D can challenge for roster spots as the season goes on.

If carrying 20 was easy to do, the Leafs would have been doing it all year this season. Would have given them more capspace at deadline, and more space to ensure bonuses are covered.

There's no chance Leafs carry 20 players next year. it just doesn't happen.

It's pretty doubtful we are paying someone $2m+ to play on our 4th line next year.
