The Nylander deal wouldn't go through, even with his struggles. That is lowballing it too much and offers too many similar assets compared to covering one need. I would think Gustafsson would have to be included in that trade.

Kabulik I'm almost sure is signed in Russia next year and Hawks can't bring him over. Caggs should play 3rd line anyway and Enwistle, Hagel or Barratt should be ready.

Nylander is obviously risky. This is pretty close in value, but I'd argue throw in Kahun instead of Sikura and it gets the deal done.

True, but considering Tor needs to free up space to sign their top 3 RFAs. Toronto has top 9 forwards covered, thus Hayden, maybe Perlini could go, or even Caggs. I wouldn't give up on Gus just yet, too much offensive talent and chemistry with Kaner. Maybe Joki can go instead of MItchell. Or maybe just get Connor Brown from Tor and slap him on 3rd and call it a day.

Faulk will be cheaper than Nurse, and can play on the left side even if he is right handed. We can get Faulk for Anisimov and extras because Carolina needs centers, we would have to give up a top 6, defensive forward in Saad to get Nurse.

Except Nurse is a better player then Faulk and a longer term solution the left side. I don't disagree with what you're saying in order to keep Saad but if we got Nylander and Panarin (highly unlikely) Saad isn't really needed and go grab Nurse which a 1 or 2 LHD is needed.

I think Faulk and Nurse are about comparable in terms of skill, but Faulk is more defensive and Nurse is more offensive.

Look at the point shares on this. Nurse is younger and has more points, but Faulk is a more defensive defenseman which is really what we need.
