Description

The Jets can probably pay McCabe and Ristolainen for what it would cost Trouba. I like McCabe but you can find #3 LHD in the offseason. You start with Dahlin and Pilut on the left side and Trouba and Montour on the right, you're going to have a better team. I didn't fill in with any more signings because I think those are coming in 2020 when Sheary, Sobotka, Bogosian, Scandella and Hunwick are off of the books.

The focus of the offseason should be shoring up F depth that is lacking severely.

You can count on one of Tage, Nylander, Smith, Olofsson to become a top9

You need to find 1 top6 F, preferably who can play C and W.

Not sure if jets have much use for McCabe but like the trade if a prospect or draftpick added for McCabe value

Sabres need 2 top 6 forwards. A new RW to play with Jack and jeff, and a LW to be with Casey and Sam. Can't realistically hope and expect nylander or victor to jump into 2nd line roles to start the year

A lot depends on trouba signing. I can see an add from buffalo- but without an extension its not a great idea. As far as mccabe, i think hes underrated and cheap, but not sure hes a great fit for the jets.
