1. None of those RFA signings are close to market value
2. Karlsson would cost ~3 million more per year
3. That Howden trade is atrocious

Karlsson is based off of the Doughty deal like how nhl tv, bleacher report, ESPN, and numerous other sources say his deal will go down. The Howden trade works and the Rangers don’t have room for him in this “go for the Cup” team. How are the RFA off, example???

Doughty has an extension that pays 11 a year starting next year...

Howden was a main piece of the Mcdonagh trade and he's only 20. If you don't think he's ready for the NHL, let him develop in the minors instead of wasting him moving from the 3rd to the 2nd.

Assuming you want to keep the theme of bridge deals (which I'm not a fan of) Buch probably gets the same cap% as Kreider got on his, which equates to roughly 3 million.
DeAngelo currently leads defenseman in zone entrys and exits and has a 40 Point pace, he'd probably get a Chychrun type of deal (~4.5 per).

-Lemieux does not have arbitration rights, so I would actually expect a six figure, 2 year bridge deal (925k is my guess). Buch's is very low I agree with that, but Deangelo they could probably bridge at 2 years, 2.25-2.5 just because this is his first year of success. Pionk IMO they should just move so irdc what anyone wants to pay him.

Agreed with points 2 and 3.

I agree they should try to move Pionk. I think bridging Tony D would be a very big mistake. If you get him to sign a 5 year deal at 4.5, I'd be very happy

Unless they want to bring a RHD through free agency along with Panarin, as this post suggests. I do not think Karlsson is the man to bring in, but if they do something like that then they may have to bridge Tony. I actually do not think it would be so bad to bridge him based on how on the contracts could be laid out. I think bridging more than 2 players in an offseason is a bad idea. So if he's the only player they bridge, it's not the worst move in the world (if they structure their future contracts right).

Ok, well I didn’t know that about Doughty so I do see your point there. Also Deangelo should have been put on for more money, I think he’s the Rangers best Dman.

Do any of you know why everyone keeps trading Strome in their armchair gm’s? I think he’s been really solid
